Quick Answer
Support allied forces until organized resistance collapses. The first landed shell starts counter-battery protocol; destroying an enemy FDC pauses its timer. Watch the published reinforcement-train schedule and answer calls with HE, TEAR then HE, or SMK as requested. Carry AP for armored FDCs and bunkers, HE or HCHE for soft forces, TEAR before HE on strongpoints, and SMK for defensive support. Breaking the final line is primary completion. Continued fire is optional and may create the harsher total-casualty conclusion, so choose it deliberately.

Step-by-Step Route
- Separate support calls, counter-battery state, rail schedule, armored threats, soft forces, and completion.
- Record 250 requisition and ten charges while preserving shell-role flexibility.
- Reserve AP for the three armored FDCs and two armored bunkers.
- Treat the first landed shell as the start of counter-battery protocol.
- Confirm an FDC destruction before recording a pause in the timer.
- Answer direct soft-target calls with HE when requested.
- Preserve TEAR then HE order for strongpoint requests.
- Use SMK for defensive support rather than substituting damage.
- Watch the published train schedule and derive any interception solution from the live mission state.
- After each answer, check allied security, return-fire pressure, and organized resistance.
- Mark primary completion when the final line breaks.
- Choose any continued fire as an optional harsher conclusion, then record unlocks and handoff.
Detailed Walkthrough
Before impact: reserve roles
Objective: Assign five recommended shell types and prepare the first-shot transition.
Final Harvest starts with 250 requisition and ten charges against three armored FDCs, two armored bunkers, one AA, a Train Station, five Rail Cars, twenty-three Infantry, seven Artillery, seven Tanks, and two Enemy Armour entries. The recommended set is AP, HCHE, HE, TEAR, and SMK. Keep roles bounded: AP covers armored FDCs and bunkers; HE and HCHE serve soft forces; TEAR precedes HE on strongpoints; SMK answers defensive calls. These facts support a flexible reserve plan, not guessed prices or exact quantities. The first shell landing activates counter-battery protocol, so the opening has strategic weight. Before impact, state which support demand or threat the action addresses and which capacities must remain for later timed events. A broad roster rewards preparation, but it does not provide positions or a fixed target order. Build a small role reserve rather than a universal firing order. One column should show which shell function is still available; another should show which listed event could demand it. This lets the plan survive a changed request or a delayed rail threat. Never claim that the observed resource totals guarantee every preferred option. The purpose of the reserve is to reveal tradeoffs before a deadline, not to promise a perfect loadout.
Watch for
- Firing the opening without accounting for counter-battery activation.
- Flattening five shell roles into interchangeable damage.
Under return fire: earn breathing room
Objective: Manage counter-battery pressure while keeping support deadlines visible.
After the first shell lands, counter-battery pressure is active. Destroying one of the three armored enemy FDCs pauses the timer. AP is the recommended role, but verify destruction and timer state before recording relief. Support calls can expire and allied positions can be overrun, so counter-battery work cannot consume every decision. Keep the return-fire state and active support deadline side by side, then address the consequence that becomes irreversible first. Measured Fire Star requires zero ally kills, reinforcing careful support. Unaided Fire Distinction pairs no reconnaissance use with more than eighteen enemy kills. Medal planning never licenses fire through unresolved allied risk. During a timer pause, use the breathing room to inspect the next request and rail watch rather than assuming counter-battery danger has permanently ended. A timer pause is a window for reorganization, not proof that return fire has been permanently removed. Recheck the active allied request, the train watch, and the remaining FDC count. If another armored FDC becomes the next justified target, preserve AP for it; if a support call is closer to failure, answer that call. The pause creates choice, and a good plan uses that choice to prevent the next forced reaction. Use a three-queue board once return fire begins. Queue one holds the active counter-battery timer and remaining armored FDCs. Queue two holds the current allied support request and its shell sequence. Queue three holds the approaching train event. Before firing, compare which queue has the next irreversible failure state, then reserve the shell role needed by the other two. After the result, update only the queue that the action addressed. This prevents an FDC hit from being mistaken for completed support and prevents a support success from erasing the rail watch.
Watch for
- Assuming attempted AP fire paused the timer.
- Tunnel-visioning on FDCs while an allied call expires.
Calls and rails: separate queues
Objective: Answer shell-specific requests while tracking scheduled reinforcements in parallel.
Timed allied calls request HE, TEAR followed by HE, or SMK. Preserve these response shapes. A concealed strongpoint is not resolved by sending HE before TEAR, and defensive movement support is not answered by substituting an offensive round for SMK. Give each call a request type, deadline, response, and confirmed result. Maintain a separate rail watch because a reinforcement train approaches on a published schedule. The schedule changes attention and reserve decisions, but the mission information supplies no coordinate, aim point, or guaranteed interception script. The ten-charge quota is therefore a planning boundary across competing events. Before each commitment, identify which later support request, armored target, or rail event can still be handled with the remaining role-specific capacity. Afterward, update only the event whose result was confirmed. When calls overlap the rail schedule, keep their records separate. A support message establishes a requested response, while the schedule establishes an approaching event. Neither fact supplies exact geometry for the other. Mark which deadline is confirmed and which consequence is imminent. After acting, close only the relevant queue item. This prevents a successful train-related action from being misrecorded as an answered allied request, or vice versa.
Watch for
- Sending HE before TEAR on a reveal-then-strike call.
- Turning the train schedule into guessed firing geometry.
Break and choice: stop before severity
Objective: Recognize primary completion before deciding whether to pursue the harsher conclusion.
Breaking the final defensive line completes the primary objective. Once organized resistance collapses, continued fire is not required to clear Final Harvest; it can produce the harsher total-casualty conclusion. Label the completed state before choosing another shot. In the Dark is the completion identity, while Night’s Precision is the separate all-gold recognition. Medal review includes zero ally kills, the paired unaided conditions, at least thirty enemy kills for No Quarter Cross, and Rapid Engagement conditions of first shot no later than fifty plus more than twenty enemy kills. The operation unlocks ATMC Shell and CYAN Shell. Those unlocks support the campaign handoff but do not rewrite this mission’s recommended set. Move to White Shells only after recording completion and any optional severity decision on separate lines. The stopping pause should be visible in the run procedure: final line broken, primary result recognized, optional continuation undecided. That brief separation protects player agency and factual language. If the operator chooses to continue, label every later action as post-completion. If the operator stops, do not describe the run as incomplete. Both records can support a comparison of conclusions without changing the stated condition for primary completion. At the moment the final defensive line breaks, stop long enough to write a completion boundary in the run note. Put every later action below a separate post-completion heading. If the goal is a standard clear, end the firing sequence there and review In the Dark. If the player deliberately continues toward the harsher total-casualty conclusion, the separate heading preserves that choice and keeps it from rewriting the primary objective. The same split also makes medal review clearer because optional fire can be distinguished from the actions required to break organized resistance.
Watch for
- Describing the total-casualty conclusion as mandatory completion.
- Blurring completion, all gold, unlocks, and finale handoff.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Derive target and rail solutions from the current mission view.
- Do not trigger counter-battery thoughtlessly.
- Do not assume an FDC pause without confirmation.
- Do not use HE before TEAR when sequence matters.
- Do not replace requested SMK with damage.
- Do not let train awareness erase expiring support.
- Record displayed spending separately from the starting resource totals.
- Do not disregard allied safety for medals.
- Do not require continued fire after the line breaks.
- Do not merge the harsher conclusion with primary completion.
Achievements
In the Dark
Completion follows collapse of organized resistance, without requiring continued fire.
Night's Precision
All-gold recognition is distinct from both completion and optional severity.
