Choose the tool by task
| Current need | Use | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Turn bearing and range into charge and elevation | Firing Solution Planner | Community-derived elevation model; no shell data |
| Keep the operating sequence visible | Mission Checklist | No coordinates, ammunition choices or mission answers |
| Convert a known angle between conventions | Mils to Degrees Converter | Pure angle arithmetic; no firing solution |
| Find game facts or release status | Source-linked Field Manual guide | Tools do not inspect the active game |
Start with the task, not the most complex screen. Use the planner when you have a current bearing-and-range problem, the checklist when you need procedural memory, and the converter only when an angle is already known.
Firing Solution Planner
Use Direct mode when the target bearing and range are already known. Use Spotter mode when the report provides one leg from the Nest to the Spotter and a second leg from the Spotter to the target. The planner returns the combined target bearing and range, minimum valid powder charge, selected charge and modeled gun elevation.
The geometry is standard vector arithmetic. The elevation model is community-derived and cross-checked against visible Steam UI examples. It does not select a shell or output damage, radius, speed, dispersion or flight time.
Mission Checklist
Use the checklist to keep the order-to-review workflow visible before a mission or after an interruption. It stores task state in the current browser, offers progress and reset controls, and intentionally supplies no mission-specific values.
Mils to Degrees Converter
Use the converter for universal angle arithmetic under NATO 6400-circle mil, 6000-circle artillery mil or mathematical milliradian. It cannot determine which convention a source intended or produce a firing solution.
Privacy and updates
The planner and converter calculate locally and do not store or submit their inputs. The checklist stores its marked steps in the current browser only. The pages send aggregate Plausible pageview analytics as disclosed in the Privacy Policy; tool input values are not included.
Formula, workflow or convention changes require a dated source review and regression fixtures. A new data category such as shell effects requires separate source and rights review rather than an unverified preset.
